Aoe ("we," "our," or "us") connects artists with professional music producers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this simple because we believe your privacy should not require a law degree to understand.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. Your name, email address, username, and profile photo when you register.

Location data. Your approximate location is used to match you with nearby producers. We do not store your precise GPS coordinates beyond what is needed for matching.

Audio files. Vocal recordings you upload to create a project. These are stored securely and shared only with the producer assigned to your project.

Payment information. Payments are processed through Apple Pay and Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe may retain payment data subject to their own privacy policy.

Device information. Device token for push notifications, operating system, and app version.

Usage data. How you interact with the app — screens visited, actions taken — to improve the experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Match artists with suitable producers based on location and genre.
• Process payments and distribute earnings to producers via Stripe Connect.
• Deliver push notifications about project updates, messages, and requests.
• Enable in-app messaging between artists and producers.
• Improve and maintain the platform.
• Respond to support requests.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only as necessary to operate the service:

• With the producer assigned to your project — they receive your project name, vocal files, and in-app messages.
• With artists who request a producer — producers' names, ratings, and general location are visible.
• With Stripe, for payment processing and producer payouts.
• With Apple, for push notification delivery via APNs.
• With Firebase (Google), for secure file storage.

We do not share your information with data brokers, advertisers, or unrelated third parties.

4. Audio Files

Vocal files you upload are stored in Google Firebase and are accessible only to you and the producer working on your project. Once a project is completed, files are retained for 90 days to allow for download, then permanently deleted unless you request otherwise.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Payment records may be retained longer where required by law.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure cloud storage, and JWT-based authentication. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Push Notifications

We send push notifications to inform you of project requests, messages, and status updates. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings. Disabling notifications will not affect your ability to use the app.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.

9. Children's Privacy

Aoe is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this document and notify you through the app if the changes are material. Continued use of Aoe after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
